Strength in this day

The following was inspiration from this morning’s reading of Ephesians 3. May you be blessed by it.

In a day and time that God seems increasingly far from us, we need to remember that while God is truly with us, evil is also near. In these last 10 years, the evil deeds that come from Satan have increased substantially, because he knows that his time is drawing to a close. God’s Word speaks of it.

Despite the evil that we encounter and the increase of deception that God speaks of that will come in the last days, when we turn to God, we are strengthened. Something to also remember is that God is bigger than anything you encounter.

We are encouraged to live another day to fulfill our calling to love people into the Kindom of Heaven, God’s kingdom. I can rest knowing that despite what takes place around me, God is forever unchanging and faithful even unto death. Jesus, God in the flesh, demonstrated it through his life, his persecution, his death and, most of all, through his resurrection. Jesus didnt leave this earth without making sure that he let it be known that he wasn’t leaving us for good. Jesus came back from the grave not only to fulfill the prophecies about him, but also to demonstrate to us that we are not forgotten.

No matter where you are today or what you are going through, you are not forgotten. Be strengthened by God’s Word and remember that He is forever faithful.

Go forth and be blessed, my friend.

Thankful for faithfulness

For those of you who have taken the time to read by bio, you would already know that I am an American living in Canada. Making this move wasn’t anything our family was looking for, but it was something we prayed earnestly about before walking through that open door. The question we asked God was “Lord, is this a door that you are opening, or is this door really a temptation to get us off track? It is your will for us to walk through this door?”

My husband and I, both, received a quick answer. Although we didn’t know what would happen or how it would take place, but we did know that it would require a lot of faith. As for myself, I was not a world traveler, for sure. I had never stepped one foot into Canada, neither did I know anything about it.

Needless to say, we made that move, and, really, it was one of the easiest moves I’ve ever made. All along the way it was very evident that Gods hand was on the move, and on us.

In this, God has very good to us. Yes, we have had some difficult times – something we all should somewhat expect from life – but God has been there with us the entire time. The good hasn’t necessarily always been a physical one, but has, for sure, been a soul-ful one as he has comforted us, given us direction and strengthened us all along the way. This, among others, is the one I’m most thankful for – my Lord Jesus Christ. He is forever faithful.

Today, in Canada, we are celebrating Thanksgiving. It is a blessing that we get to have two Thanksgivings. So, for those in Canada, Happy Thanksgiving! Take a moment to thank the Lord for something you haven’t before.

And as for those in the US and abroad, today may not be a government holiday, but there is never a bad day to express thankfulness, not only to God, but to the people that God has blessed you with. Let today be a thank-full day.

Go forth and be blessed, my friends.
