“Beyond the Fallout” Debut Album

Recently, I embarked on a journey that I never thought I would come to.  It was the day that I finally published my first book, When The One You Love Doesn’t Love You Anymore: A Journey of Self-Discovery. It is the story of how God beautifully orchestrated events in my life that brought me to where I am today – out of a life of chaos and destruction.

Since the book was published, I entered the realm of social media and began to share my heart with the world.  In this time, I created a video that shares a message.  While I have made some changes, here are the words:

Have you ever wondered how people change?

Have you ever wondered how people overcome, or what that even means?

Have you known someone in the middle of chaos

And something happened that changed everything?

I was one of them!

I tell the world of how I did it and how you can too.

This poem gives testimony that life can change and that while it may have you believing that you are trapped in your circumstances, there is a way out.

This past weekend, I was blessed to attend a friends VIP Pre-Release party for her debut album Beyond the Fallout; the name of the artist, Andrea Vesby.  During the party, we were blessed to hear how her album came into existence and hear her heart as she played some of those songs.  The album includes songs that reflect her personal journey as a woman facing circumstances that would be difficult for anyone.  It was through her music, and her faith, that she found the strength to overcome; her songs reflect that.  It was evident that her words were an inspiration from God and a reflection of her heart during those difficult days of her life.  It is through Andrea’s heart that God reached out to those in attendance that night to reveal that God’s grace is more than enough, and that He believes in us and the gifts he has given each of us.  I believe that as we all relished in the atmosphere we found ourselves in, God, too, stood in awe of his accomplishment in Andrea.

Just like my response to what God revealed in me for my life, I suppose that Andrea at some point found it difficult to believe that her dream would one day become a reality, but Saturday night, that dream came true as she began her journey in sharing her story and her songs with the world.

I am reminded of Psalms 37:4-5 NIV that says:

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:

Andrea’s life is yet another testimony to God’s love for us and that as Matthew 5:6 NIV tells us:

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Andrea’s testimony is a witness to us all that even though the fog of life may be thick and it is difficult to see what lies ahead, we can trust Jesus with what we cannot see for he is faithful even in the darkest hours.

It was a great honor to be able to attend this display of God’s grace and mercy.  I pray that God’s plan will continue to be fulfilled in Andrea and that she and her family would be blessed beyond all measure.  Andrea, thank you for sharing your gift with us and the world.

You can learn more about Andrea through her website at AndreaVesby.com.  Her album, Beyond the Fallout, is available for pre-order through iTunes and scheduled for release on March 29, 2019.  A percentage of the proceeds of this album will be going to, The Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation ,a foundation that provides services for victims of domestic violence as well as vulnerable individuals and families.
